I realize we’re at the beginning of pumpkin latte season, but I still have lots of late summer produce – eggplant, summer squash, and peppers of all shapes and sizes. Here’s a little roundup of some of my favorite red pepper recipes, plus a few that are on my to-make-soon list. As always, feel free to suggest some of your favorites! Summer recipes & some link love

Happy Friday! I don’t usually do link-y posts like this, but there’s been a lot going on lately – here are just a few tidbits I wanted to share! I wrote this fun guest post on A Couple Cooks about food & design. Check it out if you’re in need of some inspiration to get your creative (green) juices flowing. It’s always a good mail week when, not one, but two cookbooks I’ve been excited about arrive at my door. (Stay tuned next week for some sneak peaks) – The Homemade Flour Cookbook by Erin of Naturally Ella – Vibrant Food by Kimberley of The…

Veggie Valentines Recipes

Ahh, Valentines Day… such a loved and hated holiday, right? It’s one of my personal favorites because it’s the one night a year Jack cooks and I don’t lift a finger. (Or, at least, I try – admittedly, it’s hard to sit back and keep my “suggestions” to myself). I have no clue what he’ll be making this year and I’m sure he doesn’t yet either… but I thought I’d put a little list together in case you needed some early inspiration to forward on to your better half. recipes pictured above: Roasted Tomato Pasta Coffee Cake Muffins  /  Vegan…

Summer Veggies

A collection of healthy recipes starring summer produce from food bloggers around the web.

I just realized this weekend is Labor Day weekend (a fun surprise)… so happy long weekend everyone! I feel this summer is abruptly ending. In less than 2 weeks we’ll be traveling to places much colder than it is here, and by the time we get back it’ll be almost October. I’m actually really looking forward to pumpkin bread season, but for now, I’m still savoring the summer and trying to cram in some last minute late-season recipes. Here are a few I’ve had pinned that look especially delicious: Vegan tomato bisque with grilled corn and pasilla peppers from 10th…

A Little Spicy Roundup

It's a hot Texas summer, and I have a ton of chiles in my garden, I found some other bloggers with great spicy food recipes to use them up!

It’s been a hot summer, and it’s going to continue to be around here… in more ways than the temperature (sorry that was corny). I have so many of these little thai chile peppers growing in my garden (as well as a pile of jalapeños to use up). While I was perusing the internet for ideas, these hot pepper recipes caught my attention: Curry Cauliflower Pickles from White on Rice Couple Quick Refrigerator Dill Pickles from A Couple Cooks Jalapeño Corn Bread Muffins (gluten & dairy free) from Tasty Yummies Green Curry Fried Rice from Rachel Cooks Thai Curried Pea Sandwiches with Coconut-Cilantro…
