In celebration of Mother’s Day (and the return of warm weather!), I will be grilling some vegetables to serve alongside a fresh quinoa salad. I am also considering steaming some artichoke with a lemon tahini dip as a fun appetizer!
I think a nice frittata will be in order for brunch!
I’m planning on making my homemade lasagna and special garlic bread for mother’s day ????
My soon to be 9 year old son is going to make me guacamole, served with chips, and I will be making myself jalapeño margaritas to go with that of course!
We have purple carrots growing in our garden, so I may make your Best Carrot Cake recipe…I’m sure it will turn out an interesting color, haha. Love your recipes!
I’m thinking of trying out an idea I have for a gluten-free molasses ginger scone with lemon glaze. Yummy!
I am going to make our favorite egg dish or bagels and lox! The egg dish recipe we make for special occasions and we let it sit overnight in the fridge and then bake in the morning, it uses day old bread and you can put a mixture of cheeses in and dijon mustard. So yummy!!
Rosemary salted shortbread and tea!
if i lived in the same city as my mom i’d make her whatever meal she wanted + something sweet.
I’ll be cooking Mac and cheese chili for my Mom while we’re out camping!
I’ll be making caramelized pork with orange and sage along with charred broccoli and pistachio cous cous. I don’t think it’ll happen on Mother’s Day, though, as we’ll be celebrating our anniversary in Charleston.
Whatever my family treats me to will be filled with love & that will make it exactly what I’d want!
I’ll be requesting my very favorite FULL MEAL SALAD from the NYT veg cookbk and palascinta – which are basically hungarian crepes. MOST important, tho, is that my daughters are here!
I am making lasagna of course..
I’m thinking about a baked strata made with bagels that is overdue for a repeat!
I have always wanted to have a very English tea with all the little sandwiches. I have four little girls, 7, 5, 3 and 5 months today and they love special times like afternoon tea. I also love a brunch with savory dishes like a frittata and unique salads.
I hope someone makes me keto pizza and cheesecake! ☺️
I ‘m going to make my mom and nice mother’s day brunch with all her favorite things. Bacon, especially bacon.
I would like someone to make an egg and shaved steak on a croissant with some wonderful home fries and a great cup of coffee all made with love.
Hello, I’m an older gentleman who always loved to cook and fortunately learned from my Italian Grandmother and Mother. Further my wife was also a great cook, but sadly due to her ailment MS, she can no longer do so. So I’m it, I proudly boast my family loves my style of cooking and I’ve cooked for as many as 40-50 on a holiday to as little as 15-20.
So for this Mother’s Day I was asked to just make the family standard Sunday dinner. It will consist of my delicious Italian gravy loaded with sausage, pork shoulder as well as beef shoulder., as well as my personal seasonings and of course GARLIC!
Pasta will be Stuffed Shells, and my famous meatballs, pork/beef/veal and other seasonings.
Fried of course and left on the counter for all to grab when they arrive what remains goes into the gravy at the last 10 minutes only, as to not get mushy.
Main course is another simple one eyeround roast medium rare, mashed cauliflower and my famous sautéed brussel sprouts…nice and crisp with tender middle.
My daughter and I recently took an Indian cooking class together and I would love to make that meal together. The main dish was Butter Chicken it was delicious! I would also like rhubarb pie for dessert.
