MCP (ChatGPT, Claude) App Privacy
This section applies when you use the Love and Lemons MCP app through platforms such as ChatGPT or Claude. It supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and describes how we process data in connection with that app.
Information We Collect and Process Through the MCP App
When you use the MCP app, we may receive the information needed to respond to your request, including:
- search and filter inputs such as ingredients, categories, search terms, recipe references, collection references, and other tool parameters;
- text generated for app use, such as query summaries, meal-plan captions, and meal-plan selections;
- technical identifiers included in app requests or responses, such as recipe reference IDs and other IDs contained in JSON payloads;
- app response data we return to the MCP requestor, such as recipe and collection titles and metadata, ratings, rating and comment counts, yield information, shopping-list entries, and related display data;
- technical request data associated with use of the app, such as IP address, timestamps, user agent, and server request logs.
We do not require you to create a separate Love and Lemons account to use the MCP app.
How We Use This Information
We use this information to:
- operate the MCP app and respond to user requests;
- search for and return recipe and collection results;
- generate recipe displays, recipe details, meal plans, and shopping lists;
- maintain, secure, debug, and monitor the app and related infrastructure;
- improve app performance through short-term caching;
- comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse or abuse.
We do not use MCP app request data for third-party advertising or third-party analytics purposes.
Categories of Recipients
We may disclose or make this information available to:
- service providers that help us operate, host, secure, and deliver the app and website infrastructure;
- security and performance providers, including Cloudflare;
- hosting or infrastructure providers that process requests on our behalf.
We do not sell MCP app personal information, and we do not share MCP app request data with third-party advertising or analytics providers.
Retention
We retain MCP app-related data as follows:
- Apache server logs relevant to app tool queries are retained for up to 1 year;
- server-side cached request and response data used to improve app performance is retained for up to approximately 1 hour.

Because the app works by processing the information sent in your request, you should avoid including sensitive personal information in app requests unless it is necessary to your request.
