I keep hearing all of this crazy-talk about summer being almost over. I suppose backpacks are on the shelves at Target, but until the first pumpkin muffin shows up on Pinterest, summer is in full swing to me. To celebrate my favorite season not being over, here are a few of my favorite cocktails and sweet treats…
Tart Cherry Frozen Yogurt / Watermelon St. Germain Cocktails
Fancy S’mores / Cherry Cheesecake Parfaits
… and last but not least: Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillets. (You could also bake these as normal cookies or in ramekins).
What are you making this weekend?
so true! it is summer all the way until my birthday (september 20). nobody can tell me otherwise!
I hear you – as wonderful as fall is, I want to live in the here & now of summer! We still have a little over a month left right?! Love this round up and have been obsessed with baking in my skillet lately so these skillet cookies are just my thing! <3
I so agree with you! Why is everybody saying that summer is over? I keep seeing lots of Instagrams shots of ‘the last ice cream of the season’….or ‘the last sunset at the beach’…gosh it’s pretty depressing! lol.
I’ve just prepared vegan chocolate ice cream this weekend and still have a long list of summer recipes to try. 🙂
Long live summer!

Ha, well “the last ice cream” would be never, right? I’ll eat ice cream every season 🙂
This weekend I’m making berry ice cream with my new ice cream maker! Perhaps that tart cherry ice cream will be next…
There is something so appealing about that skillet cookies. Aside from the fact of course that it’s gluten-free and it got pecans! 🙂
Inspired by that picture of Fancy S’mores, I think I’ll be attempting Fancy Figgy S’mores this weekend. 🙂
ooh yum, good idea!
Those skillet cookies look amazing! I will have to find some small skillets.

I agree on that. Everything from the presentation to the cookies themselves looks amazing. I’m not much of a sweets person and usually I avoid making desserts because I think that they are quite difficult to make. But I guess I should try at least. The sweets from the store are just too much for me – too sweet, too flavored, too many chemicals in them… On the other hand I always loved my mum’s cakes. So, maybe home-made sweets are the answer for me.
Thank you, Jeanine, for sharing your cookies with us :))
