The Best Kitchen Gifts of 2024: Our Top Picks
1. Vitamix Immersion Blender
I was an immersion blender skeptic until I tried this immersion blender. The 625-watt motor blends soups and sauces to smooth and creamy perfection, and the unique bell guard protects pots and pans from scratches. The blender has 5 variable speeds and a convenient long cord. If you know a home cook who can’t get enough butternut squash soup, the Vitamix immersion blender is the kitchen gift for them.
2. Herb Cutter Scissors
Fresh herbs take any dish to another level, but I’ll be the first to admit that chopping them can get tedious. Enter: these herb cutter scissors! Equipped with 5 pairs of rust-resistant stainless steel blades, they allow you to cut herbs, dried chiles, and more quickly and efficiently. They come with a small cleaning brush and blade cover for safe storage.
3. Love and Lemons Simple Feel Good Food
If you know someone who’s looking for inspiration in the kitchen, my latest cookbook, Love and Lemons Simple Feel Good Food, would be an amazing gift. This New York Times-bestselling book is packed 125+ fresh, delicious recipes. Half the recipes are easy to make with on-hand ingredients, like quick weekday breakfasts, toss-together salads, and sheet pan dinners. The other half are designed for meal prep, like sturdy packable salads, freezer-friendly lasagnas, and make-ahead desserts.
4. Love and Lemons Every Day
If you already have our newest cookbook, I highly recommend our second cookbook! Love and Lemons Every Day is packed with plant-based recipes for every occasion, from quick weeknight dinners to holiday meals. It also includes handy cooking charts (i.e., how to roast any vegetable, a giant grid of 5-ingredient salad dressings) and resources (like a list of what kitchen tools you actually need) to help readers become more confident and resourceful home cooks.
5. Stasher Silicone Reusable Storage Bags, 6-Pack
These silicone stasher bags are one of my favorite gifts for cooks cutting back on single-use plastic. I use my set every day for packing snacks for our kid, freezing smoothie ingredients, and more. The best thing about them? They’re easy to clean in the dishwasher!
6. Material Kitchen Trio of Knives
I own a variety of kitchen knives, but the three in this set from Material are my absolute favorites. The set includes an 8-inch chef’s knife (my go-to chopping knife), a 6-inch serrated knife (perfect for slicing bread and tomatoes!), and a 4-inch paring knife (great for slicing apples for our kiddo). I think this set covers all the chopping and slicing needs of most home cooks, and it would be a fantastic gift for someone looking to upgrade their knives. I love that it comes in three fun colors!
My Favorite Kitchen Gadget Gifts
7. Tofuture Tofu Press
A tofu press would be a great kitchen gift for the vegan or vegetarian in your life. I tested the best tofu presses earlier this year, and the Tofuture Tofu Press was my favorite. Its compact size makes it easy to store, and with just 3 pieces, it’s super simple to use! After only 20 minutes of pressing, it yields ultra-firm, chewy tofu that’s perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-frying.
8. OXO Good Grips Zester
If you know a home cook who loves bright flavors, get them a zester this holiday season! It will allow them to zest limes, lemons, and other citrus super quickly and easily. I use mine for grating garlic, ginger, and hard cheeses like Parmesan too! I love this one from OXO. It comes at a great price and has a non-slip foot so that you can stabilize the zester on your work surface.
9. OXO Good Grips Mini Complete Grate & Slice Set
I’m obsessed with this little set that includes a mini mandoline, a medium grater, and a coarse grater. All of the pieces store neatly inside the compact case, which doubles as a container to catch your food as you slice. This set is a great gift for new cooks or for those who love functional gadgets that don’t take up a lot of storage space.
10. OXO Good Grips Prep Julienne Y-Peeler
This julienne peeler is one of the best kitchen gifts for home cooks who love veggies! It helps you quickly and efficiently julienne vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, and zucchini. The thin, noodle-like strips are fabulous in spring rolls, salads, soups, and more. I particularly love this peeler because it has a non-slip ergonomic handle. Plus, it’s dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.
11. Material Kitchen Forever Peeler
Finally, a cute vegetable peeler! And it’s not just cute—this stainless steel peeler from Material Kitchen is super practical too. The open design makes it easy to clean, and the wide swivel blade makes quick work of peeling large veggies like butternut squash and sweet potatoes. Best of all, this peeler comes with a replacement blade so that you can keep it sharp for years to come. It would be a great gift for a veggie lover in your life!
12. OXO Avocado Slicer
This 3-in-1 tool is the perfect gift for avocado lovers! It has three parts—a pointed tip, a stainless steel pitter, and a slicer—that allow you to halve, pit, AND slice an avocado, all without reaching for another tool or risking cutting yourself. Use it to make avocado toast, guacamole, or avocado spring rolls. Toss it in the dishwasher when you’re done!
13. OXO Good Grips Glass Salad Spinner
I bought this salad spinner a few years ago, and it is has been a total game changer for my salad making. It allows me to dry leafy greens and herbs in seconds! It boasts a non-slip base, a locking touch button, and a one-touch brake for quick and firm stopping. Plus, it doubles as a serving bowl! Every salad lover needs this gadget in their life.
My Favorite Unique Kitchen Gifts
14. KitchenAid 3.5-Cup Food Processor
If you know a home cook who loves making dressings and sauces, this mini KitchenAid food processor would be the perfect gift for them! I use it to make small-batch salsas, dips, salad dressings, and more. It has two speeds and a pulse option, along with a handy locking blade, a spout for easy pouring, and dishwasher-safe parts. Bonus: it’s super cute!
15. Spice Jars with Labels Set
For the home cook whose 2025 resolution is organizing their spice drawer! This set includes 12 (6-ounce) glass jars with bamboo lids, plus 70 preprinted labels and 5 blank labels. I love that the jars have wide mouths, which means that you can fit any measuring spoon inside them. Now’s a great time to snag this set—it’s currently on sale for 39% off!
16. Glass Olive Oil and Vinegar Pour Bottles
I’m obsessed with these glass oil and vinegar bottles! This set includes four glass bottles, four gold pour spouts, a silicone funnel for filling the bottles, and 37 reusable labels. 35 of the labels are pre-written (options include olive oil, avocado oil, balsamic vinegar, rice vinegar, and more), and 2 are blank. The labels are designed to be peeled off the bottles and reused so that you can swap out what’s in each bottle. These bottles make oils and vinegars easy to drizzle (no more pouring out too much too fast), and they look lovely on a countertop. They’d be a great gift for a home cook with a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
17. BambooWorx Matcha Whisk Set
Surprise the tea lover in your life with this matcha whisk set from BambooWorx! It includes a scoop, spoon, and chasen (a traditional matcha whisk), which will help them make frothy, lump-free matcha lattes and matcha tea. Pair it with high-quality matcha powder (see below) for the ultimate gift!
18. Gold Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Spoons
These gold measuring cups and spoons would be such a fun stocking stuffer! I’ve owned them for years, and I think they’re so much cuter than the average set of measuring utensils. They’re also dishwasher safe, and because the quantities are etched into the set (not painted on), they don’t wear off with time. Another bonus: the measuring spoons include a 1/2 tablespoon, which is surprisingly handy!
19. Souper Cubes 1 Cup Silicone Freezer Tray
If you know a home cook who always has a stash of freezer meals on hand, add these Souper Cubes to your list of kitchen gifts to buy. Essentially extra-large, lidded ice cube trays, these silicone molds make it easy to freeze (and thaw!) soup, sauces, and more in individual portions. Bonus: they’re dishwasher-safe for simple cleanup.
20. Big Vegan Flavor
Nisha Vora, the founder of Rainbow Plant Life, is one of my favorite recipe creators. Her new book Big Vegan Flavor came out earlier this year, and it is a must-have for anyone who is vegan or curious about incorporating more vegan meals into their diet. In the first half of the book, Nisha breaks down how she adds AMAZING flavor to plant-based dishes. The second half is packed with mouthwatering recipes like a chai-spiced custard tart, oven-baked polenta with tomatoes and white beans, and more.
The Coolest Gifts for Cooks
21. Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker
This ice cream maker from Cuisinart is an awesome gift for dessert lovers! It can churn 1½ quarts of homemade ice cream or frozen yogurt at one time, all in 20 minutes or less. It even has a double-insulated freezer so you don’t have to add any ice. Pair it with ice cream toppings like sprinkles or hot fudge for a fun and unique gift.
22. Dr. Weil Matcha Kari Organic Matcha Powder
When it comes to matcha drinks, I have one BIG tip: choose a high-quality matcha powder. Good-quality matcha is grown in Japan and has a bright green color and rich—but not overly bitter—taste. For trustworthy, farm-direct matcha I recommend Matcha.com with their selection of ceremonial and organic matcha from Japan. They specialize in rare blends of the best Japanese matcha cultivars.
23. Weck Mini Tulip Jars, Set of 6
One of the most common questions readers ask me is where I get the jars I use for chia pudding. They’re these mini tulip jars from Weck! I love their pretty shape, that they’re easy to clean in the dishwasher, and that they hold up well for years. I don’t just use them for chia pudding—they’re great for storing sauces, spices, loose leaf tea, and more. Gift them on their own, or fill them with homemade granola or roasted pecans for an extra-thoughtful present.

24. Staub Ceramic Baking Dish Set
I think this baking dish set is hands down one of the best kitchen gifts. It includes a small 7.5×6-inch baking dish and a larger 10.5×8-inch one. I use mine constantly for sweet and savory dishes like fruit crisps and crumbles, casseroles, lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, and more. I typically serve food straight out of them at the table—they look so pretty! Their porcelain-enamel finish is scratch-resistant, and their stoneware material retains heat incredibly well. Any home cook would love them!
25. Our Place Wonder Oven
Our Place is the brand behind the iconic Always Pan, but I recently became obsessed with the Wonder Oven—a 6-in-1 air fryer and toaster oven. It’s super versatile and awesome for home cooks who don’t have a ton of space in their kitchen. It can air fry, toast, roast, bake, reheat, and broil, and it has a maximum temperature of 450°F and a 60-minute time range. It’s also available in four different colors: Blue Salt, Char, Spice, and Steam. Pick the option the home cook in your life will like best!
26. Bodum Melior Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle
Our editor, Phoebe, has this electric kettle, and she loves it! It quickly and efficiently boils water for coffee and tea (and automatically shuts off once the water boils). The gooseneck spout gives you control over the speed and consistency of the water flow as you pour, making it ideal for pour-over fans. The stainless steel body and cork handle are lightweight and easy to maneuver.
27. OXO Brew Rapid Brewer
This portable coffee maker is one of the best kitchen gifts for hardcore coffee lovers. Great for travel or work, it brews concentrated hot coffee in just 2 minutes and cold brew in 5. No cords or charging required!
28. OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set
This nesting bowl set comes with 3 stainless steel bowls ranging from 1.5 quarts to 5 quarts. They’ve become my favorite mixing bowls because their non-slip bottoms keep them from sliding around on the countertop as I mix. You can use them for whisking scrambled eggs, mixing up cookie dough, or tossing together a salad. Dishwasher safe!
29. The Weekday Vegetarians Get Simple
Jenny Rosenstrach’s philosophy is simple: You don’t have to be a vegetarian to eat like one. Her simplistic sans-meat cookbook zeroes in on delicious, easy-to-cook recipes like Sheet Pan Gnocchi with Butternut Squash and Crispy Eggplant Bowls. It’s the perfect pick for anyone who is looking to dial back their meat consumption or recently went veg!
30. Caraway Home 9-pc Ceramic Cookware Set
Any home chef will love this gorgeous set of non-stick, non-toxic cookware from Caraway. It includes a 10.5-inch fry pan, a 3-quart lidded saucepan, a 6.5-quart Dutch oven, and a 4.5-quart lidded sauté pan, all of which are coated with non-stick ceramic. The cookware works beautifully on gas, induction, and electric stoves and is oven-safe up to 550°F. The set also comes with 4 magnetic pan racks and a canvas lid holder to help keep your kitchen organized.
31. KitchenAid Pasta Roller & Cutter Attachment
If you have a pasta lover in your life who already has a KitchenAid stand mixer, the KitchenAid Pasta Roller & Cutter Attachment would make a great gift. It’s what I use to make my Homemade Pasta, and I love how small it is for storage and that it allows me to get even more use out of my stand mixer. It’s super easy to use and can roll 6-inch sheets of pasta dough into 8 different thicknesses. The cutter tool also makes it easy to enjoy fresh spaghetti and fettucini in your own home!

I’ve owned the Always OVEN for over a year. Basically everything you cook is actually “air fried” because it’s a convection oven. I’ve always had to use the water feature to keep items from drying out. It’s very hard to find pans baking vessels that actually fit. I’ve mentioned it to Always for them to offer a complete baking set that us small enough to fot in here. I purchased an extra tray and basket, but you can’t cook everything on a tray or basket. It’s annoying to carry a tape measure to shop & purchase all new pans to fit inside. Go with a Breville Pro & you’ll be happier in the long run. Sure this is tiny but it’s a hassle & doesn’t work great enough for the price. You always need to watch it, do not leave unattended , no parchment, adjust time & temp lower – guessing. It’s just not worth it.
A word of caution about Caraway ceramic pans. The outer enamel gets chipped easily and stuck on food or sauces are nearly impossible to get off from the outer surface. So the beautiful outer finish didn’t last long. The smaller of the two frying pans totally warped on the inside with stuck on burnt stains. I can not get it off. It is possible that someone let the pain overheat, so be aware that they are a bit delicate. The inner ceramic surface is great for the most part and I am still using them 2 years later, but they are not worth the money to me and I wouldn’t buy them again.
Thank you! Great compilation.
I’ve been wanting a Vitamix ever since I started eating a plant-based diet, but I get so confused on which one to get. I love the low profile of the A3500 that you recommend, but I’ve read that the older, taller models do a better job. I know it will do a great job with smoothies, but I also want to be able to made vegan cream sauces and nut butters from cashews. Do you think the A3500 will get the job done for a variety of needs? They are a lot of money and I want to get it right.
Hi Jan, I’ve owned and tested nearly every model over the years and they all make vegan cream sauces wonderfully – you can’t really go wrong.
The A3500 is the newest and most powerful one, I find everything blends just a little faster and easier. It comes with the 64-ounce container but I also have the smaller 48-ounce container that’s useful to blend small/medium batch recipes.
https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/shop/accessories/48-ounce-container-with-self-detect.
It’s also the only model that fits with the food processor attachment, which is something you might want to consider one day.
The tall blender is great too – I gave mine to my sister and it still works great, over a decade later. The container is more narrow toward the base so that’s what people might be referring to when they say it’s easier. It’s not as powerful as the newer Ascent but still a great blender.
I hope that helps!
The right at the right time of the year!
Making a great list from all these selections. Some great picks for the holidays coming up and maybe some for me as well. Thanks a bunch.
Hi Eugene, so glad you enjoyed the gift guide!
These are great selections! I especially like the pan that can be used many ways.
Hi Sally, so glad you found the guide useful!
Thank you for this comprehensive list, but #7 Stasher bags is 2 bag pack not 4 pack.
thank you for pointing that out!
I wan also buy this
Thank you for sharing these wonderful ideas for some that are hard to buy for. I have a feeling that a few of these items WILL be in my kitchen. I loves the soup freezing tray. We already freeze soup in a Ball storage container, but those trays would be perfect when just one of us wants soup. I just smiled when you mentioned the Vegetable Cookbook. I was looking at it the other day & told my husband that I want it. Of course, I will have one of your cookbooks along with Desiree Nielsen’s cookbooks.
I’m glad you found it helpful! I do love the souper cubes, they’re so handy for freezing individual portions when I make a big batch. And, yes, Nik’s book is really great 🙂
Good for you, Jeanine! Thanks for all of the great recipes!
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful products. I added half of them to my wish list on Amazon! Some for myself and some for gifts for the holidays. Your cookbooks and blog are inspirational! I use your cookbooks on a regular basis.
Hi Jodi, I’m so happy to hear you’ve been loving the recipes! Thank you for your sweet note.
