Spring-y Swiss Chard Recipes

Spring-y Swiss Chard Recipes / @loveandlemons

Happy Sunday – thanks for all of your sweet comments the other day about our book announcement!

I’ve been hitting the farmers markets pretty hard lately working on spring recipes – something that always grabs my attention while I’m there is chard. Here are a few of my favorite swiss chard recipes, and also a few from around the web that look SO delicious… a few of these are definitely easter brunch worthy:

Shakshuka with Swiss Chard, from Food & Wine

Mini Polenta Pizzas, from A House in the Hills

Are you able to put the recipe in the introduction?

  2. I love rainbow chard! It’s so pretty, and if you eat it straight out of the garden still full of the taste of sunshine it’s the tastiest thing on Earth. I’m looking forward to the book!

Love this! I have been really into chard lately. Thank you! PS – I think the design of your site is just lovely. 🙂

  4. I always see swiss chard at the farmers market but am never quite sure what to do with it! Totally going to buy it next weekend and make one of these recipes. Thanks!

I´m dying to check out the pickled chard stems! They look so yummy!

  6. Hail, fellow Austinite (although I’m being one from afar — in London). I’ve been wondering what to do with all the lovely chard showing up at our farmer’s market. Can’t wait to get started with these. x

  7. THANK YOU! I just discovered swiss chard myself this year, and can’t get enough of it. I so needed more ways to prep it. Even bought four packets of different colored chard seeds from Pinetree Garden seed online. They have a bright orange one called ‘orange fantasia’ on the market now, very exciting!
    (good luck with the cookbook!)

wow that chard looks beautiful! Chard is one of those ingredients I never thought I’d be into because it’s “too healthy” looking 😛 I’m definitely a convert. I will definitely have to check out some of those recipes you selected 🙂

  9. We grew Swiss Chard last year and was pretty unimpressed. If we plant it again this year we will definitely be trying out some of these recipes, thanks for sharing!

  10. I’m not that big on eating chard but I do LOVE the look of rainbow chard. I keep trying to like it but so far I haven’t found a recipe that I love yet.
